SKINLAB Guitarist's PRIMATE Project Working With STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Drummer

March 9, 2005

SKINLAB guitarist Mike Roberts has contacted BLABBERMOUTH.NET with the following update on his PRIMATE project (which also includes ex-SYSTEMATIC bassist Nick St. Denis on second guitar):

"We got a new bass player around June/July 2004, his name is Rik Miles (ex-SUBINSICION, FACE, DRUNK ON KEROSENE). He's a killer player and has some great pipes for backup vocals...he was the frontman/guitarist in FACE in the late Nineties, so he's had a lot of practice. We also moved the rehearsal room to a recording studio with a control room, a huge live room and isolation booths, and Damon (Demer, singer) sold the ranch to buy tons of sick recording gear (ProTool, etc.)...he is also an up-and-coming producer...which is very fortunate for PRIMATE. Mid-2004 we started working with Eric Kretz (STONE TEMPLE PILOTS drummer) in his new studio (Bomb Shelter Studios),recording new polished versions of four of our better songs. Those can be heard at this location. Eric is also helping us shop our stuff to the labels, so hopefully I'll be able to give you some good news soon!"
